Paddy started the Senior Pickleball Tips Facebook group in November 2023, two months later he roped in his brother Terry to help, two months after that he roped in three wonderful US-based moderators (Susan, Mike & John) and it soon grew to 65,000 members.
It is made up of the following
Since its inception the group has commented and discussed pretty much everything you could imagine from how to find places to play to building your own court, from wearing eye protection to the best stretching exercise, from how to deal with ‘bangers’ to what are the best paddles, from best serving techniques to good dinking advice, from keeping injury-free to sharing of x-rays of broken bones (!!).
So, we’ve decided to expand all of this and have started this website which we want to grow to meet everyone’s needs.
This is a beta website under development – to be launched in 2025!

“I have got so much from Senior Pickleball Tips. I came to the sport, like many people, via tennis and (through the group) quickly learnt what to do and what not to do as a tennis player. So now I don’t swing back much and don’t often ‘go for the lines’ – all the things I used to do on a tennis court. I absolutely love this sport and can honestly say that it has changed my life since I retired. I like to win, but it’s far more important to put everything into perspective and enjoy the moment, having fun with new friends.”
