Meet the Founder

In 2023, after injuries sidelined me from tennis, I discovered pickleball—and its smaller court and fun vibe hooked me instantly! Within two sessions, I started the Senior Pickleball Tips Facebook group with my daughter's help, just for a bit of fun. But it just grew and grew and in 17 months, with the help of my brother Terry and some awesome US moderators, we surpassed 100,000 members which is completely crazy! Now, Terry and I have developed this membership website for beginners and intermediates (up to 4.0). As a former sports teacher, I’ve seen how pickleball sparks confidence, builds friendships, and keeps us seniors active. Absolutely not. Actually, we exist just for beginners and intermediate players – the advanced players can get their stuff from elsewhere! Our members consist of people who have never played pickleball and are just thinking about it, through two levels of beginners and then two levels of intermediate players upto a rating of about 4.0.

No you don’t have to become a member of this site. The Facebook group will keep running as before and, of course, you can simply remain a member of that. But if you want a MUCH BETTER experience, with MORE RELEVANT CONTENT and NO SCAMMERS, SPAMMERS & BOTS, then it would be good to join the website membership. For example, we will choose the most relevant video content from YouTube for seniors (in fact, we have 2-3 coaches filming such content right now to go onto the website)

A Library will encompass everything and will be easily searchable. The community forum will be so much BETTER than the Facebook page. For example, it will include chatrooms for all manner of topics of interest to members, for example, keeping injury-free, how to choose the right paddle, where to find the right pickleball group for you, upcoming and best events to attend and/or play in etc. etc. And all this information will go into the Library section which will continue growing all the time and is easily searched.
